Verjaardagscadeau

6 juni was de verjaardag van Jelle.
Dit jaar mocht hij 8 kaarsjes uitblazen.

En bij een verjaardag hoort natuurlijk een cadeautje. Nou, dat vind ik dan :-)
Mijn diertjes komen niets te kort, 'bij ons is het iedere dag dierendag' zeg maar.
Toch liep ik afgelopen oktober met mijn ziel onder de arm door de dierenwinkel omdat ik niet wist wat ik dit jaar moest kopen :-)
Gelukkig kwam ik daar mijn buurrouw tegen met hetzelfde probleem.

Maar goed, een cadeautje dus!
Omdat snoepjes en dergelijke door het dieet een nogo zijn, op zoek naar iets anders.
De doos met knuffels puilt uit en Jelle heeft zijn favoriet.
Recentelijk kocht ik een nieuw tuigje en door zijn afvalrace wil ik nog even wachten met een nieuwe.
Wat dan?

Nou houdt Jelle van balansoefeningen.
Enige jaren geleden kocht ik bij Alprovi wat spullen van Build 'N Balance tijdens Animal Event. Ondanks de beursaanbieding moest mijn portemonnee even slikken. Maar Jelle is er dol op. Zodra ik de spullen te voorschijn haal, gaat dat staartje in "vind ik leuk" modus.
Samen met wat andere balansspullen bouwen we allerlei oefeningen om zijn spieren sterk(er) te maken en te houden.
Hoe leuk is dat dan?

Naast het parcous bezitten we nog enkele balanskussen, een peanut en balansegels.
Er staat een wip in de tuin en er kan een tunnel uitgelegd worden.
Balans of behendigheid? Wij hebben het.

Maar we hadden nog geen hoogtesprongetjes zonder pinnetjes.
Onze hoogtesprongetjes kunnen we namelijk alleen buiten gebruiken, die pinnetjes doen het niet zo lekker in mijn laminaat :-)
En dan gebruiken wij de hoogtesprongetjes ook nog net even anders...Jelle kruipt er onderdoor!
Super goed voor de spieren in zijn achterpoten en billen.
En dus werden er 6 pionnen en 3 stokken besteld.

De spullen werden, zoals gebruikelijk, super snel geleverd.
Het installeren en uitpakken gebeurde onder professioneel toezicht.
En niet lang daarna werden ze in gebruik genomen.....door er overheen te springen.....

My animals are well taken care of; every day is an Animal day at our home. In the Netherlands the 4^th of October is national Animal day and this year I was walking up and down the animal store to find a present for my bunch.

And then I spotted my neighbor also struggling to find something to take home.

So I needed a present!

As Jelle is on a diet I needed to find something else than cookies or threats. He has a huge collection of plush animals and has his favorites, so no plush. I just bought him a new Harness and because he is still losing weight, I want to wait with that.

So what now?

Jelle loves all kind of balance exercises.

A few years ago I bought him some training material at an event. And despite a discount, my wallet was not happy.

But Jelle really likes it. And every time I get the material his tail starts to waggle.

Together with some other items we will built all kind of exercises to keep his muscles strong. How nice is that?

Next to the balance trail we own a balance pillow, a peanut and balance hedgehogs. We have a seesaw in the garden and there is even a tunnel.

Balance or agility? We’ve got it.

But we didn’t have height jumps without pins to stick them in the ground. Those pins are not a good combination with my laminated flooring J

And Jelle uses the height jumps slightly different…he crawls under them.

This is an excellent exercise for his hind legs and back.

So we ordered 6 pawns and 3 sticks.

The equipment was ordered and delivered very quickly.

The installation and unpacking was done under professional supervision. And not long after that they were used……to jump over them….
